What linen and towels are provided?
We supply one set of bedroom linen and bathroom towels per week for each person staying in the property. If a property is booked for a 2 weeks period, two sets of linen and towels will be provided, at the start of the holiday. If the holiday is more than 2 weeks in duration, then after the first two weeks, one set of linen and towels will be changed at weekly intervals. You will need to take your own beach towels. Towels provided must not be used for sunbathing.
Extra cleaning of the Property during your stay.
Additional housekeeping is available, at a supplement payable at the time of booking, or by arrangement locally. Payments made locally must be in advance and in Euros only.
Single Week Supplement.
It is necessary for us to apply an additional cleaning charge for any property hire of one week only. This is due to the extra cleaning and administration requirements involved. This charge will be added to the cost of your holiday when making a booking.
Travel Arrangements/Flights?
It is recommended that you do not make definite travel arrangements until confirmation from us that payment of the deposit has been received.
Driving Licenses.
Standard UK driving licenses are fine. You do not have to have the new type with photo ID if you intend to hire a car. If you are using a normal UK license then it is mandatory to carry your passport with you when you are driving the car. Normal driving requirements are, for car hire companies, that the driver has to be at least 25 years old with 2 years driving experience. Please check with the company you hire the vehicle from.
Drinking and driving laws are similar to Britain but with a lower alcohol limit. On-the-spot fines of around 480€ in cash are imposed if you are stopped and are 'over the limit' and the car may be impounded. All traffic violations carry on-the-spot fines.
Passports and Visas.
British visitors to Spain require a full 10 year British Passport with at least 6 months to run after the return date to the UK. For further information on passport requirements contact the Passport Office in the U.K. Visas may be required by certain passengers who do not carry a UK passport. Please refer to the passport office for the correct information.

Money to take on holiday.
It is recommended that you take a small amount of Euros to enable you shop on your 1st or 2nd day. (100 € is recommended). Most bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops accept Credit Cards, but not all. It is preferable to take Euro travellers' cheques which can be exchanged in the bureau de change. English cash is readily accepted at bureau de changes. Expect to pay 1% commission on Euro cheques and 0% on cash. When exchanging travellers' cheques your passport is required on your 1st visit to the exchange bureau, after which, the receipt is normally sufficient to change further travellers' cheques at the same bureau. We recommend an exchange bureau in Puerto Rico, where the rate is competitive and we have known the Canarian owners for 25 years. They are also fluent in English and would be more than helpful with any local queries you may have. Details will be sent to you, with your documentation, immediately after your final balance has been paid. Banks will exchange travellers' cheques between 08:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. but are Closed Saturdays during the summer months
Are my personal details secure?
Our policy is not to pass on your details to any other company or person, save that we must pass them on to the owners of the properties or to any security or credit checking companies, public authorities (such as customs/immigration, if required by them or law).
Mobile Phones.
If you have a mobile phone bring it along with you just in case of emergencies. Check with your network provider that your mobile phone has "roaming facilities" activated before you travel. If you intend to use your mobile telephone and it is a pay as you go telephone it is recommended that you have at least £25 of credit available as you will be charged for incoming calls as well as outgoing calls. Prefixes required to be entered before dialling out can be different in respect of different network providers and therefore it is best that you check this before you travel.
If we arrive before 4 pm can we use the Property?
The official time for entry to your property is 4 pm. If you arrive before that time you are welcome to use the outside facilities (Villas Only), but you will not be able to get into the property until it has been cleaned. Please remember that previous guests will have been in residence until 10 a.m. and the property has to be prepared for your arrival.
Why is it not possible to stay in the Property after 10 am on the day of departure?
This is due to the essential preparation and cleaning required before the arrival of the next guests. However, if you have extenuating circumstances for needing to stay in the property after 10 am then please phone our representative as soon as possible after your arrival at property or as soon as possible after the extenuating circumstances become apparent. If we agree that your circumstances do justify your stay in the property past 10 am we shall do our best to accommodate you, however we cannot guarantee that we are able to and shall in any event not be able to allow you to use the property past 12 noon. The Company reserves the right to charge for this facility.

Amadores beach has excellent changing, showering and toilet facilities. There is a very small charge for the use of these facilities. They are open from 9 am until 6 pm.
Suppose a member of our party is taken ill?
There will be a list of recommended Doctors, Dentists and emergency numbers in every property. Building Work.
Building work and noise can occur, as with all good holiday destinations. Gran Canaria is no exception as it becomes increasingly popular. Some resort areas featured may still being developed and therefore there is a possibility of building work or construction work, which may be carried out by local developers. Many of our villas are also situated in residential areas and work may begin on a neighbouring property over which we have no control, and usually we are given no prior notice. Villas Gran Canaria Ltd. will always try to inform you of the facts in advance but if this is not possible, please accept our apologies.
